CEL bulb replacement

    I failed my NJ inspection today because the bulb for my CEL is burned out. Apparently, when you turn the key to on position, the CEL is supposed to illuminate. I don’t believe I ever paid any attention to this. Anyway, do I have to pull the gauge cluster to get to this bulb or can I reach it from behind the dash?

    so the state inspector didnt even hook up to OBD2 port?
    did a code pop up?

    No code. I don’t know if they hooked up the OBD2 port. He just told me everything looked good, but the fact that the CEL did not illuminate when they turned key to ON position is an automatic FAIL.
