In industry they told the new kids to go to the boiler room and ask for a bucket of steam.

My first job out of high school was a mechanic at a used car dealership. The Napa parts driver kid was a real wise ass. So my coworker got on the roof with a 5 gallon pail of water while I talked to the kid to get him in position… We also stuck the water hose through the open driver’s window on his S10 truck. That got a call from the parts store manager.

    or direct
    https://www.ernstmfg.com/wrench-pro.aspx

i have the non-magnetic version, because i have enough issues before adding fuzzy wrenches to the mix. i do really like that it's a 3+1 setup, so the length can be custom fit to the space. there's a few dozen other companies making knock-offs, but these seem to be the tightest spacing from wrench to wrench of them all

the pliers holders are a different brand, mostly due to ernst not stocking blue. if i'm burning money, i want it in a specific color! the ernst are also just barely taller, which won't work in my drawer with the non-slip liner installed

    lol

really sounds like he was begging for it. not knowing where his tools are within his own box. i've got questions to how long he lasted if he couldn't keep track of his own stuff he put together...

also, what's the story on the generator picture in your signature line?

I have a couple of wrench drawers in the tool box. They're all tossed in there every which way, but I still manage to find the ones I need. When I'm done, back in the pile they go. :D

He lasted about 6 months before I got him fired.
I had a 98% success rate of fireing people within 6 months of hire when they put them next to me.
I spent way too much time looking over these guys shoulders (for free) so they wouldn’t kill someone. Including themselves or me.
They use to put two boneheads on each side of me and bitch after on how my numbers were down.
They pissed me off one day so I said fine, let’s see how this works. Didn’t help them for a month. Wouldn’t answer their questions and minded my own business.

    IIRC

3 loose wheels. One fell off.
    1 blown engine. No oil
Loss of brakes in a Tundra.
    In a month.
I didn’t want to do it to the customers but, I had to prove a point.
We had a shop meeting with the GM and he ripped us a new one and i laughed.
I told him I don’t need to hear this shit. My numbers are high and no comebacks.
    Yea…… FUN TIMES…

I tech can kill somebody in a heartbeat.
I took my job extremely serious.
Most others are padding their wallet on the backs of poor and retired people.

    Anyway…

The gen is the new one I got (bigger with elect start) before the house went into full retirement mode.
It was a practice session for a couple of hours to build time and check my readings.

    I kept it up because:
    #1
I wanted to repel the snow gods
    #2
I was too lazy to change it.
    LOL.

It snowed last night so I’ll have to use the snowblowers.
So I guess a change is in orderIMG_0346.jpg

When I was a meat cuter in a supermarket I started as a bagger at 14. They would tell us to get an aisle stretcher. Shake up the salad dressing. And my personal favorites fill up the water fountains.

Need to know thoughts on reusable respirator. Leaning towards this 1 because it can be released without taking it off if I need to communicate with coworkers. I'm starting to gather information at this point.

I would think that the filters would be washable or at the least reasonably priced to change out. I'll be wearing it 40 hrs a week.
Just trying to keep myself healthy from all the dust from the flood.
Any suggestions and help is appreciated.
