Just joined because of all the help offered. My pcs has been dominating my dashboard for weeks now. I took it out and cleaned it and the badge to no avail. Finally asked Toyota what was wrong with it on last service visit. According to them it’s not transmitting anymore. Ok nothing lasts forever I get it. Sooooo how much to fix? 1279.00 dollars is what they told me. 671 for the sensor and the rest in labor, claiming three hours. Three screws and one plug hold this on. Pop the hood and there it is. I’m buying an OEM used one off eBay numbers matching (returnable of course) for 119 dollars. Almost bought a aftermarket china one but am gonna try OEM first. Should get it by Friday, I’ll repost with the outcome.
I joined because I got a lot of info which helped in my decision. Trucks ain’t cheap and I’ll be keeping this one for just as long as my 06 for 13 years. Also had a 92 extended cab.

127.94 with shipping and 25 min swap out. That’s all it took. Had to go for a small drive so it would recognize it. It initially said it was off (yellow light)when settings said it was on. Like I said small ride, went to settings and turned it on and all fixed. I know Toyota isn’t in the business of selling used parts, but cmon Toyota you can’t do better. Over six hundred for the part and another six hundred to put it in.
