Thanks for the ideas guys. Later today if I get a chance I'll be trying , get this .. tide. Lol.
Let's see how well it will work.

And the diesel sounds interesting.. I'm going to try it.
varsol yes but the headache that comes with the smell .. but yes that dose work.

Brake cleaner at 10 bucks a can too much for me but it's a last resort.

I'll post up what I don't I. The build thread

Spic ‘n Span was my go to. The best was when a neighbour gave me a dishwasher as they were doing a kitchen Reno. Used it for two summers before it packed it in.

Princess auto makes a really cheap one that's small enough to fit in your backyard or a 1 car garage and that's what I've been running for 8 years. Never gave me a issue.

I order from this website all my chemicals, prices when buying in bulk are cheaper.

I switched to Simple Green bc of price but the carb stuff I’ve got has gotta be the most toxic substance known to man. Sure works though.

Seems like all the smelly stinky toxic stuff always works the best.

All I need to do is change cans every few years. Now I date them on the lid. 20 minutes, rinse & carb parts are whistlin’ clean.

Dad is a ex mechanic/ex construction worker. Quit in the 80s but kept all of his supplies... We got our shop set up a year ago so all of those supplies came out of retirement.

First time using new old stock 1980s brake cleaner I nearly asphyxiated myself, full on dizzy, stumbling, fell out the door (which I had left closed, along with the bay doors being closed lol) but damn it knocked about 10 years of leaking rear main seal grease off my crown Vic! Shit is awesome haha.

What's up guys, need the Ontario community's opinion on price, selling my 2005 TRD Sport, with cap and SCS wheels, hoping to use the amount to put a downpayment on a newer model.
The good: Front brakes redone Ball joints replaced New exhaust
The bad: Back window leaks, a mix of duct tape and JB weld have mostly fixed it. Has two keys, have the orginal wheels, topper has a nice carpet liner for camping, frames in good shape.

2005 year was the "first year" aka "they dont make them like they used to" - typical 1st gen tacoma person would say (c).

Engine frame mounts were cracking, engines were blowing and leaking etc... Leaking rear window can be expesive if next owner is going to repair it the right way, getting mold out of there is another thing.

Here is a good read for you about early models:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2005-and-early-2nd-gen-issues-and-how-to-fix-them.735957/

I think asking between 7-9K would be the fair without wheels and cap.
Sell the SCS wheels and cap on it's own, they will go fast and bring more money this way.

Yeah was going to say about that as well. I think you list it at 9 and take the first serious cash in hand offer above 7k.

I paid 1000 for mine, but it's a 3rd gen cap and part of the heavy duty line (thicker construction), so it's worth a bit more. I'd say 900 is fair.
