I bought some new bed cleats and D rings for my truck, and was really excited to pop them in, but am running into some issues.

    * For the D rings, trying to get the OEM ones off snapped the head off of my T40 bit - should I be doing some prep work with them beforehand?

    * For the bed cleats, my truck came from the factory with spray-in liner, so I'm not sure how to access the bolt heads, or even what size they might be. Any advice on how to approach those?

    Thanks!

Mine has the spray in liner as well. I’d take a razor blade to the bolt heads first then go from there. It should make your life a little easier.

Did you snap the T40 bit using a power tool? Whenever I am "breaking" anything loose, always do so with hand tool initially to get it started and then use power tool to save time. Use same process when replacing fastener as well---- start bolt in by hand (to avoid damaging threads), then power tool again to save time, and lastly by hand to correct torque spec.
