    Good day everyone,

    Long time lurker.
    Joined up to ask a rather specific question regarding the 3rd gen 2.7L auto and gearing/tire diameter:

    My truck has stock 245/75R16 tires on stock SR5 wheels and suspension.

    I'd love to go up a size in diameter while sticking with "skinny" tires. 235/85R16 seem to be the "sweet spot" in diameter/width; stock 245/75 is 30.5" tall vs 235/85 is 31.7" tall

    My question is, will the RPM's, speedometer difference and overall drivability be affected enough to need a re-gear to run the 235/85R16 tires?

    I would probably run them on a sub-20lbs 16in wheel like Koenig Countersteers etc, not the stock SR5 25lbs mags, to offset the added weight of the E rated 235s.

    My current setup weighs 60lbs per corner (245/75 Toyo OpenCountry SL load ATIII on 16in SR5 mags)

    The setup I'm looking at would weigh 63.6lbs per corner (235/85 Toyo OpenCountry ATIII E load on 16in Countersteer wheels).

    Thanks in advance and I apologize if this is a dumb question.

    @Nyrob any thoughts regarding gearing?

    Would a 235/85R16 rub at all on stock suspension height settings and a +10 to 0 offset wheel?

    No need for a regear. I have 2.7 3rd gen and I'm running a 255/75/17 which is a 32.1" tire and theres no issues with rubbing or gearing issues.
