So, my '97 is doing pretty well on the seat bolsters, but I was wondering if I could take the lower passenger seat cushion "section" and swap it out with the driver's side... is this a thing? The controls are all on the outside, so maybe I could swap the cushions?

I am looking at seat covers too if anyone has any recommendations. I have searched here and googled around, but can't find much specifically for a 1997...

    Thanks for anything!

Superb looking SR5! The Very last year of the true SR5 :)
    Manual transmission and a sunroof!
My SR5 has the bluishgrey interior and no sunroof

How many miles are on that seat cushion?
I had an upholstery shop add some more foam to mine many years ago and perhaps time to get that done once again before hitting 400k miles

Yes, you can swap the bottoms. That's what I did as part of my search for comfortable seats. Here's how to do it:
    https://adventuretaco.com/replacing-my-seats-with-corbeau-baja-xrs-or-not/#:~:text=not be yours!-,Now What?,-In the short

That worked well for a while, but eventually I ended up with much more supportive seats. Here's the whole "saga": Saga of Seats

I have some covers from these guys. Very happy with them. I got a heated seat retrofit kit for a Corolla and installed it on the seats under the covers, works great.

Those are some rare seats. You don't see the Limited 1995-2000 trucks very often.

No, it definitely did. Here is a page from the 1995.5 brochure for the truck. Those are the Limited seats with the same fabric, as well as the door panels.

You are thinking of TRD, which did not exist until 1998.

thanks for the recomendataion! Others have also suggested them, and I am leaning toward those... also with heaters.

I just priced out some of the half piping covers - with the black bolsters and color centers.

What do you guys think? Should I try and match the interior and pick tan for the center color, or go crazy and do red or something?

it has really been eatin' on my brain that i have been thinking otherwise (for over 1/4 century now)
that the limited LTD tacoma was not put on the lots until 1998
    :notsure:

there was also this, which might be part of the brochure?

Import Archive is what I use. I paid to get the brochure for my truck from them.

Go nuts with the color, it's not permanent! One note with those covers...careful when soldering near them. Hehe. They don't like a drop of hot solder. Did that within hours of installation. But after a year or two the imperfection hasn't grown. I would suggest pulling the seats out for the installation, just way easier. And O'Neil wetsuit wash/cleaner works great on them. It will extend their life as well. You can wash them without removing them, just go to town.

    More pics as promised!

With the new bed liner, and I finally got the full sized (265/70 R17) spare tucked up under the bed. No bending/cutting/mods required!

Apparently those are some kinda 4-Runner wheels...

Don't know how I feel about the chrome mirrors though, heh. :)
