Clock Spring- extra cable?

    Hey y’all,

    went to replace my clock spring today because my cruise control isn’t working, and this grey piece wasn’t plugged into anything before nor after the replacement… I matched my vehicle vin number to the part, so hopefully it works, but I’m a bit confused as to where this cable is supposed to go and why it is useless in my car upload_2025-1-26_13-2-20.jpg

    I believe that connector is for the Steering Angle Sensor which on 05-08 models is only equipped on trucks that have VSC.

    Thanks! I ended up having to move my steering wheel over a tooth and re-aligning my tires, but at least my clock spring is replaced :amen:

    Mine is an 08 and does NOT have vsc but does have that sensor plugged in….no clue. I thought it was for steering wheel controls but who knows
