    Long time lurker and have not really posted anything on a forum since my ClubSI and Honda-Tech days (which definitely dates me), but I thought I would share my very modest "build" dubbed OB3 WAN Tacomi.

    Prior to my picking up my 2019 QuickSand DCSB, I had a 2019 Colorado, which I really liked. It drove nice and the V6 in the Colorado was considerably smoother and more "peepy" than the slug of V6 in the Taco. But, the 8L90 transmission in the Colorado developed the dreaded shudder issue at only 32xxx miles. It was the middle of the pandemic, one of the online used car sites gave me $6 grand more than I paid for the Colorado, so off it went and I got the Taco from the same site.

    The Taco only had 12xxx on it, already had BFG K02 ATs, the TRD "SEMA" wheels. It was also one of the 2 colors I liked the most, QuickSand, the other of which is Voodoo blue. I am still not sure which one I like the most, but QuickSand definitely fits the nick-name I gave the truck better.

    I have done several little things to the truck, and will try and post some of that stuff here. TacomaWorld has been a great resource for findings things out of this truck, so just trying to participate some more.

    One of the first things I did to the truck was debadge it, remove the TRD sticker from the bed side, and I added some Amazon smoked LED turnsignals for the mirrors. I like the clean look, and the Amazon signals have worked well now for a few years to this point.

    I was not a fan of the chrome on the interior so I replaced it all with MESO custom pieces. I also added a MESO TRD Pro style shift knob, which you can see in the pics. This was a pretty simple and cost effective way to really change the look of the interior.

    After owning the truck for a little more than 2 years I finally got around to getting a small lift for it. I did a lot of internet research and settled on the tried and true Bilstein 6112 and 5160 setup. Shout out to Hot Shot Offroad who had a great deal on the shocks, not to mention excellent customer service. I also did an ICON AAL, JBA UCAs, Wheelers Offroad u bolt flip and rear bumpstops, and Perry Parts front bump stops.

    The impetus for the lift was needing new tires and wanting to fit something a little bigger. I went from BFG KO3 in 265/70/17 to Toyo Open Country RT Trails in 255/80/17 aka pizza cutters.

    All in all, I am very happy with the setup. I drive in the city the vast majority of the time, although I live 1.5 miles from when I work, so I don't even really drive all that much.

    One of the while your in theres I did was removing the camber bolts, cleaning them, and putting a nice coat of anti-seize on. The truck has low miles, and thankfully nothing was seized up and I intend on keeping it that way. I also have it treated by Krown every year since purchasing it. The midwest can be really tough on vehicles.

    When I put the ICON ALL on, I decided to keep the overload spring on. I read through the forums on here A LOT prior to doing this and now that I have a few thousand miles on it I am glad I did. I don't tow anything, but I do have a 6 bike hitch rack that I use to go on MTB trips. While it is not as heavy as towing something, when loaded up with 5-6 FS MTBs all that weight hanging out over the back of the truck I am sure would have made it squat, which it does not do with the overload.

    I do plan on getting a full leaf pack at some point :). So if you can afford it, while the AAL works I would suggest just doing the leaf pack.

    Wheels tires where put on shortly after finishing the lift. You can also see the AluCab Contour Canopy I added the year before. I am not all the great at remembering to take photos of the truck...

    Very happy with this setup to this point, although the need to re-gear is real even with just 33's.
