Just wanted to post the progress of my Roof top tent trailer build. This is the second build, the first one did its job but could only haul 2 dirtbikes or one quad and i needed more when my wife started riding with me.

    OG trailer.jpg
Heres the first build. 4x8ft Harbor Freight folding trailer and custom steel rack.
It lasted a good 3 years before i needed more. I also ended up bending the axle on that trailer, then bent it back to use a few more times.

Then the build started. i used a 2x2 1/4 tubing to brace the hole trailer.

Extended the width and length of the trailer and installed a new axle. Coworker that builds trailers on the side ended up helping me get the axle in the correct location.

    trailer rack.jpg
Built the rack for the RTT. i made it tall enough you can fit a quad under the tent if need be.

    trailer build table.jpg
Added a fold out table for cooking, i will also be adding a hitch receiver on the front of the trailer next to the table to hold my custom tailgate grill.

    expanded metal trailer build.jpg
Built solid boxes and fenders and covered most of the trailer in expanded metal so i can wash bikes on the trailer. I added a 45 degree edge to most of the trailer for looks and i hope it'll bump the trailer out of the way if i ever hit a tree with it.

And this is how it sits at the moment. i ran out of plasma consumables so i have to i hold off on finishing it for now. I ran the wiring through the 2x2 tube and then cut some holes for the wires to go to each headlight. the fenders will be covered in Dimond plate, then the front boxes will probably be expanded metal, if i have enough left over.

Let me know what you guys think, I have one more weekend to work on this, then some buddy's come out an we test it out on a wheeling and shooting trip. Once i see what id like to add or modify, ill do it after that then strip the trailer down to paint. I'm either going a dark grey or white to match the truck.
