Brake shim grease alternative

    Does any know a substitute for this brake shim grease which is atrociously overpriced for the miniscule amount that you get ? Part #08887-80409.

    I like to sleep in my truck.
    We throw that stuff away all the time. The techs just use the stuff from a tub with a brush. Check your local dealership dumpster

    Advance? Autozone? They sell it at the checkout counter for $2. I assume you understand Toyota doesn't make it and it isn't special because it says Toyota.

    That is a lifetime supply and probably costs the same as the packet from Toyota. Unless you are doing 100 brake jobs, this is the logical choice - AGS Sil-Glyde Brake Lubricant 0.14oz
