So I got a small compressor and air horn.

I promise I'm not "that guy" lol. Always wanted one on a personal vehicle from back in the days when I drove big trucks.

Feel like I got most of what I'm doing worked out. I'm just getting a bit confused on how I wire the actual horn button.

In the pic/diagrams I have, I understand the battery connection and will put in a toggle switch (and a fuse) to meter power for when the truck is off

I'm guessing the horn button will need power on its end? Which will then just be connected to one of the wires on the air valve/solenoid? Then the other solenoid wire goes to ground?

Would ultimately like to have an additional fuse panel and tap into an ignition wire, but right now I'm just wanting to easily get it installed and working. Appreciate any help. IMG_20250203_151808351.jpg IMG_20250203_151739255.jpg

I'm assuming this would be what your talking about, note you want to locate your fuse as close as possible to your power source.

Depends how much current the solenoid draws but I wouldn't think it would be more than 5 amps which would be fine with a switch.
Now powering the air compressor is a different story...

You're correct on the power for the horn button. You can use a fuse tap to find IGNITION power at the fuse box in the truck. That would be the easiest. Under the hood will be more difficult.

Their wiring diagram should show both wires going to ignition power.
