4.0 V6. I've owned the truck since 2014 and have had a ton of great adventures but decided to upgrade to a F-150 Ecoboost for more towing capacity. I'll be sad to see this one go.

    The good:
    • Frame replaced by Toyota in 2019. They replace the brake lines when they do this, and I also had a new steering rack installed.
    • Oil changed religiously every 5k with Mobil 1 full synthetic.
    • Well maintained. Any issues tended to by myself, the dealer, or reputable mechanics. I have all records.
    • Runs and drives very well.
    • Interior in good shape.
    • Aftermarket heated seats. Very toasty.
    • Aftermarket remote start. I know these scare people "in the know" but I installed myself and I'm very meticulous. Every connection is soldered, no cheap splices.
    • Bluetooth stereo from a 2013 Tacoma.
    • Firestone Winterforce snow tires with lots of tread. Also will negotiate to include a second set of rims with summer tires, but the summer tires are almost worn out.
    The bad:
    • Rockers obviously rusted, I've always been good about keeping the salt washed off in winter but these rotted from the inside out, so by the time I noticed the paint bubbling, it was too late.
    • A/C compressor works most of the time, sometimes it doesn't. Also has a slow A/C leak.
    • Transmission pan is damp, probably just needs a new pan gasket. Not seeing any drips on the ground.
    • Tube steps are attached to the rockers so the rear and mid mounts are not good.
    • Paint is what you should expect for a 17 year old vehicle stored outside.
