I wanted to make a separate post regarding my install. I think I learned a couple things that I could pass along.

This is the youtube video I watched to learn how to do it and it was ALMOST perfect.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J782gH31fDk

    1. at 1:42 on the video he talks about mounting the foam pads. The Tacoma cover DOES NOT come with these pads so skip this step. They do have 2 foam pads but they ARE NOT for this spot. I will need to buy some extra foam as I did not want to rip them off. the foam is for the very last step where the cover when all folded up keeps it from touching the cab.

    2. The torque bolts are weak as hell. Make sure you have a good bite and do not tighten them too much.

    3. The cover rails I left loose to do any final adjustments. I found that you could have mounted them, pushed them all the way forward to the front and tighten. That was the correct spot.

I had my wife close me up inside (she probably will now threaten to do that if I act up) and the seal looks perfect. There was one spot back on the edges of the tailgate that water may come in. I plan to add some foam there when I buy the extra.

I am not that mechanically inclined. It took me an hour from start to finish. Easy install. An extra set of hands for the very last step to screw down the cover is nice. The guy in the video uses a laundry detergent jug.

PS I must have gotten a Friday build. My water drain holes are not in the same spots in the bed, see the pic.

    Thanks for posting. Super helpful.

Do you have a long bed? I'm looking for the part number for the LB version if anyone has it handy.

I'm seeing this one online but it doesn't have a photo:

Same here. I have 3 drain holes. Two on the driver side and only the closer (to the side) one on the passenger side. I'm considering drilling the 4th hole but a little hesitant.

I installed the same OEM cover on Saturday. I couldn't be happier. Especially combined with the OEM bed mat. I picked both up on sale, mat was ~$115 shipped on memorial day sale and the cover was ~$950 out the door picked up on the 4th of July sale.
