My truck has started skipping like one cylinder is not firing. But it only happens if I have used the truck for an hour or so and then shut it off, then restart it. Then it does it until the next cold start. I have done the plugs and my mechanic says all of the fuel injectors are ok, but I suspect he did not ran the truck long enough to see the problem. Of course, it ran fine for him and ran fine when I picked the truck up, but next day I was back to the same problem. Any ideas? Truck only has 80K miles on it.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Throw some fuel injector cleaner up in that bich and see what happens or egr, maybe.

Could be a leaky injector. Maybe a coil that is failing/failed.

My question would be, what symptoms are you experiencing that leads you to believe 1 cylinder is not operating? You should be throwing a P030x

My personal experience, this usually occurs when there’s a crack head. With heat, you’ll notice the misfire. And when it’s cold, you won’t feel it.
