Appreciate you wanting to support us!

I see no reason this wouldn’t work. As you get closer with the SAS, shoot me some pictures of what you have going on near the trans crossmember and I’ll help you out. Even if it’s maybe making some minor one off changes to better suit you!

I know this may be meaningless to many. Dynos seem to be the only way gains can be proven these days. But that is far from reality.

We tossed the factory Y back on and did some data logging. Took a compilation of 4 pulls and found our average numbers at a set RPM.

We then tossed on the equal length, along with my 2.5" system and did it again as similarly as humanly possible.

Its showing about a 10HP gain up top, However we plan to do some mid range stuff as well. We feel as though that is where most of the gain is coming in. But either way, 10HP from a bolt on part for an NA engine, is pretty respectable!

Either way, it was a cool little experiment we did. You can take it as you may!

We hope all of you are doing well! We have lots of new fun stuff going on in the shop right now, so please excuse my absence!

Respectable number for N/A. I’m looking forward to getting your full 3” set on my supercharged x-runner. If I wasn’t so far away from you I’d let you use my truck for research, I’m betting supercharged applications would benefit quite a bit more than a 10 peak hp gain.

Oh absolutely! And truthfully, this truck is on 33’s with factory gearing and a couple inch lift. So realistically on a bone stock truck it is likely to be over 10hp. But I don’t really want to make claims I can fully back up, either.

I think I have 1k miles on mine now. I'd say for sure there's a power gain. Not even a question.

Where do you notice things the most?

does acceleration all the way through seem smoother?

I don't wind out the gears on a regular basis. Maybe only a few times since installing this. My normal shifting is usually around 3k. Merging on highways, a little higher w/ more throttle %. Mid range is a nice gain and b/c I spend most of the time there, probably why I notice it most in that area. But I'd say there's a noticeable difference at across the board. And my mpg suffers b/c it's more fun to get on it now.

Mid range is where we notice it the most as well. Nice to hear others saying the same thing! It’s definitely noticeable in the seat. Even though many may say it’s not possible.

Really, these engines NA start rolling over at that 5,000 mark. So to see a gain there is pretty cool!

I have a local OTT guy that I plan to get with soon to see what can happen with a tune as well.

Still up for Dyno stuff, however I’m fairly confident in saying the way we did these calculations is going to be accurate.

I already have a tune on the truck too. Although not optimized for the mid pipe. Not sure if theres any adjustment they'd do to the tune with that being the only change.

Makes me optimistic for some headers and 200c cats. Then a re-tune on that, hopefully.

This brings me back to my Subaru days. Unequal length headers meant more low end HP and worble. Equal length meant more high end and less warble. Would the 3rd gen bolt up to and AWE 0FG exhaust system? I am loving what I am seeing in the images on your website.

From what I know, the OTT tune is good for about 10hp as well. I’m sure @JustDSM could fill us in on that, and what changes could be made to better support the Y.

It appears as though that exhaust removes the rear portion of the factory Y. Unfortunately it would not work if that is the case.

Not sure if many, or any in here are interested in our latest project or not. But it’s going to be the baddest trans cooler ever made for these trucks.

Massive 2” thick Koyo cooler with a SPAL fan that is thermostatically controlled at the cooler inlet. Fully bolt on with a simple 2 wires to connect.

I’m not sure how many monitor trans temps, but even with the small factory cooler, these transmissions like to run hot depending on usage and ambient temperature. Keeping temps under 200* keeps the fluid and trans happy. And that’s exactly what this cooler will do. Along with adding about a quart of capacity to the system.

Nice! Curious to see how this would fit
Hmmm, judging from the photos this more than likely wouldn't be supercharger friendly? It does look like a significant upgrade from the OEM cooler.

It was 100% built to be supercharger friendly!
