Electric door lock malfunction

I have a 2017 Tacoma 2 door. Driver side will not lock with power button or door but will lock passenger door. Power button will unlock both doors. Already replaced door latch assy with no change. Any ideas? Also wanting to add key cylinder to base model passenger door. Is that possible?

 

Have you replaced the Driver's door Master switch?

 

As for the passenger side key, that is part of the door latch assembly. Maybe the 2nd Gen might fit, but then you open the can of worms with compatible key(s).

No I haven’t replaced the switch due to the fact that it’s consistently doing everything else right except for locking the drivers door.

 

With a small wire, strip ends and make jumper wire. Remove master switch. On connector, use jumper wire to lock. (red 2 to GND1) then Unlock. (yellow 8 to GND 1). Report back...or not.
