Scottsdale Muffler, 1879 E 3rd, Tempe. I did not have them do much, but when he rerouted my exhaust he quoted $110 and final charge was $95. Seems to me he is honest. See what he says ... ?

Anyone from the northern AZ area coming to KOH and passing through flagstaff that could pick up a race suit and bring it out?

I have a new taco friend that needs to drop his oil pan on his Turd gen.. Seeing as I have a 2nd gen I believe it to be a little different? How much PITA is it and any tips I can share with him?? I went over basics of making sure to clean the two mating surfaces After removal and to use high temp RTV. Just cant think of what maybe in the way to remove it.. He has a small leak he wants to address before a road trip. He claims he was lurking on TW to get some Info but hasn't got an account yet to ask these question, or found to much info. Any help I can pass on would be great, Thanks:hattip:

Looks fairly straight forward. Just has to remove the skid plates. This guy doesn't use RTV though, he used silicone?

Like mentioned the pan is fairly easy to get to. If it were me I'd get some of the Toyota FIPG part number 00295-00103 or similar for resealing.

High temp RTV is silicone. I'd just use the Toyota OEM goop but anything designed to resist exposure to oil is probably fine. Be sure not to use so much it gooshes out inside the pan, breaks off, and becomes the forbidden sippy for the oil pickup.

I may have some extra Toyota FIPG @Yacob_D I'll be using more of it for my 3rd member.. but should be enough for the pan too. The FIPG is also what I used to seal my oil pan. Just take your time. Unbolt. Razor blade to break the gasket seal. Then slowly and lightly start prying with small flat heads evenly around the pan. Clean up flange with razor and whatever else needed to prep surface. Apply FIPG around holes and along flange. Let sit just a bit to tack up, then snug up hardware. Let sit again.. then tighten down.

The FIPG that you'd want to use on your 3rd member is the orange which is part # 00295-01281 and made for gear oil and transmission fluid. Not recommended to use on the oil pan.

    Although it'd probably be fine.

Toyota Genuine Fluid 00295-00103 Formed-in-Place Oil Pan Gasket - 3 oz. Tube.
Is what I used on everything for rebuilding the 1grfe. Upper and lower oil pan timing chain cover etc.. It's what the Toyota manual said to use as well as the youtubbers

Edit: Also, is what Coupe sends in his oil pan spacer kit. For what it's worth
