Recently had some work done on my 2017 Tacoma Double Cab SR5 after accident. Did a walk through making sure everything is in working condition.

Should there the be a brake light between the cargo lights? Currently, there are only two white lights.... no center red light turns on when braking

    Thanks!

Yes. The four circles in the middle are supposed to light up red under braking only.

Thank you, I was unsure since there isn't a red tint in the center.. guess I never paid it much attention. I replaced L/R brake lights after getting it back from repairs (they were both out). Have you had to replace these cargo brake lights? How long do they typically last? The install seems a bit annoying.

I haven't replaced one because mine has been fine, but it does look like a pain. The bolts are pretty much fully blocked by the headliner. Doesn't seem fun to get up there with a ratchet to get the bolts out.

Definitely. I brought it to the dealer back in August for a leak recall... wished they went out then. Thanks for the input.
