    Aloha everyone,

    My 97 Tacoma ECU burnt out and I have been looking for a replacement ECU on line but no luck. Need you guys help. I was told I have to use the same year ECU. Thanks in advance.

    Predator tube steps, Ranch Hand grill guard, Magnaflow CatBack exhaust, Toyota tool box & bed mat, 2LO Module by @Up2NoGood, Rearview Compass/Temp Mirror, Tune by @JustDSM.
    Not necessarily the same year but the part number on the ECM needs to match, typically that means same year, engine, transmission, and emissions certification (Federal or California/50 state).

    Early 1st gen ECMs especially manual trans ones are getting really hard to find, best bet is ebay, calling a local salvage yard, hollander parts, or car-part.

    Or find a company that fixes them and send it in/get a refurbished one.
