Not sure if anyone is aware of a prefab mattress support that could be installed in the 6' bed of a tacoma? Appreciate any info available.
    thanks,

Most I know just build them out of plywood at the level of the wheel well. Are you looking for a lightweight metal frame to go under an air mattress?

I built mine with scrap 2x6s and plywood. Alternatively you can buy an air mattress designed to fit perfectly on the floor and around the wheel wells.

I was considering them at one point, until I saw the price, then promptly forgot about them.

Being cheap is a dying art for sure. Not having tools or being handy can get expensive, but I suppose everyone is made of money now

Money aside, I think it's way more fun to make stuff

I'm looking to purchase a foldup foam mattress for a tacoma w/6' bed. Appreciate if you could provide a link. Trying to stay away from air mattress.

Any Full Size mattress will fit over the wheel wells. Literally hundreds of potential options, all with different support configurations. The nice firm mattress I like, might be terrible in your eyes.

While these options aren’t cheap, they provide dual purpose usage depending on the type of outdoor activities you like doing.

The Paco Pad is the industry standard for river runners and is made from the same material as whitewater rafts. It’s designed to go right on the ground and can be sprayed off and dry quickly.

Bouldering crash pads are made for unroped rock climbing and are made with different density foams covered in Cordura. They are fairly stiff at first but get softer with use. The bonus of the triple fold pad is they can be used as a camp couch, either in the bed of the truck or on the ground. I fold mine up at the end of the truck bed closest to the cab and then deploy it as a couch or full bed as needed.
