Bought a used Tacoma last month. Was told no recalls on this vehicle. Check Engine light came on. Used my diagnostic machine to learn that my fuel cap had a leak. Replaced the cap with a new one specific to my model. Topped of gas tank before a short trip. Gas leaked everywhere from beneath the vehicle. Had the truck towed home. Any ideas as to what may have caused this? I assume this is related to my vent hose. The image is the best I can get without dropping the tank (taken from the wheel well) but it doesn't look like ones I've seen before. Disabled combat vet on disability trying to fix it myself. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Gentlemen.
