Was hoping that rate would apply to my purchase... unfortunately it didn't. Thats free $$$. Nissan offered all that money off only if you financed through them. The current rate is 5.9% for 60 months. The local Nissan dealer here is right next door to the Toyota dealership that I used and had issues with and also owned by the same guy. I was very close to buying the Frontier (2024 4x4 for $28,500) from them but in true Stephen Wade Nissan/Toyota fashion, after telling the salesman I know the rate is 5.9% and he came back from the sales manager with a rate of 8.6% and if I didn't like that they would let me pay cash or get my own financing for a mere $3k over the selling price. I gladly walked out and got the right deal on a higher trim level from Auto Nation of Las Vegas.

I had an approval already from my credit union and when the salesman started the rap about financing I just let him do his job, figured I'd drop the bomb once he finished. When he told me I was locked in at 0.9 percent I kept my mouth shut about the other option..was pretty competitive with most but damn sure not near 0.9. In your example I'd say you did the right thing not biting with that upsell

I have seriously looked into the deals of the 24 King cabs, crazy prices with very low financing, but have decided to keep my current ride a little longer.

Gets pretty tempting just for the savings alone. Gave up some of what I wanted but my wallet is a bit happier. Good choice either way.

Nothing wrong with that, it looks no frills and to the point, like it's deigned to be used as a truck. No laptop sized screen taking up too much dash space. You had mentioned that you were 6' ( or over), how are the seats for comfort./support? The seats in my 2nd Gen are THE main reason that this truck will go away as soon as I get back to work.

Congrats on finding a good fit after such a long wait!

Your truck looks great and FWIW, mine also has leaf springs & 6' bed and I've been happy w/ the ride as well.

I think the seats suck compared to the new Tacoma but they are fine. The material upgrade on the SV trim is nice but still a bit soft and I feel like I'm sitting low even with seat raised all the way. I'm 5'7". I'm spoiled by my last couple vehicles but I'm sure I'll get used to them. 90% of my driving is local so it's a non issue and did a 2 hour ride from Vegas when I picked it up and also good. i'm sure I'll get some ballistic covers for them and a nice gel pad. Might do the seat lift also.

Thank you !!! I'm more than happy for many reasons. Great just to have a set of wheels again!!! Going to dump a few bucks into it and make it mine and enjoy the hell out of it. I'll visit the Toyota notion in a year or 2. How's your Prerunner?

It's been a great fit for me and it looks like you were able to check all the main boxes on yours as well---- I think you're going to be super happy w/ what you got. After a brief discussion on a different thread, my guess was that you were gonna go w/ XC SR5 4WD, but looks like the truck you got has the same set-up, so it looks like you hit the jackpot

I was looking for the SR5 but could not find what I wanted and within my budget. The night before I went to pick the Frontier up I saw a 2024 Prerunner in AZ used with next to no mileage for a fair price. I was very tempted but the dealership never got back to me so it made my decision easier. :)

No but I read a thread on here yesterday about a pause of the new trucks being sold for this reason.

You realize that the “laptop sized screen taking up too much dash space” is optional, right?
