Last I looked there were still some mechanics in Chiefland. Surely one can get that apart for you.

Well at least the ashtray isn't full, you'd have to sell it for sure!

    (Old Mercedes joke)

When I was doing my front end I went through two cans of PB blaster. I soaked the parts 2 days and 1 day before starting work. When I got the the TRE's they simply would not drop out. I broke my favorite puller tool, bought another I had to dremel to get it to fit, tightened it right to the point where I knew it was going to break, pounded around the TRE portion of the spindle like Thor, would not move. I was feeling like you, shit I'm in over my head. Gave it one more shot of PB Blaster and went to take a nap in defeat.

I returned a couple hours later, two hits of the hammer and it fell out. Then I did the other side.

If you have an impact and can get it in there, that will surely do it. Rent one if you need to. Otherwise there are three main things that will get those nuts off, persistence, PB Blaster and time for it to work. An ATF and acetone mixture has been shown to be a better penetrant than anything commercially sold, you can try that as well.

If you have heat and can apply it without setting something on fire, that will help. If all else fails get a nut splitter if there's room to get it in there, you will probably want new ones anyway.

Its easy once you get the nuts off. My issue was a cracked manifold where the pipe and flange meet. Replace with all new OEM gasket and hardware. You will need an exta long extension (or two put together) to get to the manifold/cat bolts.
