Sorry to hear it man. But, things happen for a reason. I am an IT guy myself working as a Systems Analyst with SAP. I was employed with my previous employer for 10 years and our company was bought out by another company that had their own IT staff. I got out before they let me go and I'm now doing the same job for more money. Worked out for the best in the end. At least they are paying you through the end of the year. Being unemployed right before Christmas would suck.
