Good idea. That should tell me which direction I need to be looking anyway.

Yea, I’ll do that. Maybe they’ve seen it before.

The first thing pac will tell you to do it remove the amppro and harness at the amp. Once everything is back to “factory” you’ll know where to go from there.

Hey @enluzenment... it's been about a year now. What was the conclusion to this? I'm thinking about using the PAC AmpPRO AP4-TY13 and the PAC APH-TY01 AmpPRO Harness for my '23 JBL setup. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!

It’s been great. Had a few bugs to work in the beginning but honestly that was all me rushing through install. I had a 2 year old and a newborn at home so finding time was difficult. Biggest piece of advice I could give is make sure you have everything you need and enough of it. RCA’s that are proper length to go from amp pro to new amp location, speed wire to go from new amp back to jbl amp. Wire connectors (I used posi connectors) to hook up the ty01 harness, Tessa tape/wire loom to clean up install. That’s all I can think of that specifically applies to doing the amp pro install. The rest is general car audio install stuff, get a good amp install kit with OFC wire, I like knuconceptz. Take the time and do some sound treatment on doors and back wall if your doing subs back there. Use some kind of speaker rings like the sound skins or fast rings. That sound treatment will pay dividends in sound quality….sorry if this is a bit disjointed, kinda just writing stream of consciousness here. If there are any other questions you have I’d be happy to help however I can. There are also other guys on here who are professional in this field and VERY knowledgeable, they’ve helped me a bunch.

Leveling kit 2" , big tires , diamond back bed cover.. pro grill and I removed the center piece from the cup holder...that's about it.
I've run all new wires to the 6 speakers and am trying to figure out how to plug pac ampro i have the harness but i do want to keep the factory sub running on the jbl I have another sub behind the other side of the seat I'll run off my 2nd amp .. anyone can clarify what I do with each of the plugs for this instance? Again the factory sub is all I want to keep running on the jbl amp and new wires from amp to front dash and rear door

Hi. Do you have to keep the factory JBL amp connected with this method? I came across a diagram that appears to show the other harness bypassing that amp.

Yes, the ty01 will allow you to bypass the amp while keeping it in the loop so you can still use the factory head unit. Depending on where you mount your aftermarket amp you may have to run wire back to the ty01 harness which will plug into the factory amp. If you mount your new amp close enough to the factory one, you can just install those leads directly onto the amp output.
