I had a topper installed that extends over the cab and covers my fin antenna, blocking satellite radio reception. I bought a magnetic replacement from Amazon but got stiff-armed from the local audio shop in that they acted like they had no idea how to install it. I think they were just trying to sell me a new radio. No luck at Best Buy either. Any ideas what adapters or other gear I would need to have someone install this? I have a 2018 Tacoma Off Road. Thanks in advance.

I wonder if the manufacturer of the topper can make some recommendations? You’d think if their design covers this, they’d already have some suggestions to gain your reception back.

Sat antenna is a square plug that goes inside of the radio. Most aftermarket antennas are sma/smb connector.
With aftermarket headunit, we use this to interface oem sat antenna. You may need a reversed plug for radio.
