    85 Toyota Pickup - 97 3rz, D60/14b, w-56, dual transfer case, leaf front, 4link coilover rear
I have been researching alot and want to see what input I could get on my planning.

Truck is a 85 toyota pickup with a 97 3rz swapped it, w-56, dual toy transfer cases, D6/14B axles 5.38 gears on heavy 42" TSLs. I run the Rubicon, Fordyce, Dusy Ershim rock trails.

Most crawling is 800-200RPM. In this range with my gearing I have no problem torque wise. However, when it comes to sand/snow/ road driving, it would be helpful to have some more power. Not some thing I entirely need to do, but why not. Truck gets trailered to the trail and sees maybe 200mi of driving per year. Lots of the info I have been finding is more applicable to street trucks or lighter 4x4 builds.

    Plan:
    -GT2871 0.64 A/R(probably a Maxspeedrods cheapie)
-Mazworx flange & weld up a pipe fitting log manifold
    -Water to Air intercooler
    -Pink top injectors
    -AEM wideband
-Hoping to keep it on the low boost side of things maybe 6-8psi. If it made 180-200hp to the wheels would be great.

    Questions:
•With my low gearing I was looking at keeping the turbo on the smaller side of the generally recommended GT3071. Does the GT2871 seem like a good option?

•Off road I can occasionally get some short low oil pressure conditions. I'm assuming a BB version would be less tolerant of the low oil pressure situations. Is this correct thinking?

•I'm liking the internal waste gate on the turbo for simplicity. At the low boost I'm planning is there any concern here?

•For a low boost relatively stock build are the pinktops adequate or is there a better option that the stock ecu has a chance at controlling?

    Thanks in advance

I don't have much info, but I'm also interested in a low boost set up. I belive pink tops are most used for this type of factory ecu setup.

Turbo advice might be better from some of the diy turbo forums. I'd like to go for a ride once it's finished, we also hit the same trails and spend time at UTC.

Lots of good info in this link.

What are your plans for tuning it? I don't think you'll have any issues with an internal waste gate turbo. The cheap turbos seem to do good if you get them balanced. Any machine shop should be able to do it.
