I realized the other day that my Kumho Crugen tires were getting pretty long in the teeth. I went to my local trusted shop and they offered a few options, the main two being Hercules Terra Trac AT X-journeys or Toyo Open Country HT II 's. There is a promo at the shop that would make the X-Journeys cheaper. I doubt I need much more than the Toyos, but it would be nice to have a little more traction and capability the few times a year I do go off road or in the snow.

I guess I'm asking if anyone has much experience with either of these? I'm leaning toward Hercules, but I'm worried about noise, mpg and smoothness. Also, Toyos are rated for 70k while Hercules is 60k Which tire do you think rides better?:notsure:
