Hey all, it's that time again. I've got slop in my 2nd OEM steering rack. While researching options, I ran across the the Toyosteering tundra rack. I see that it uses eccentric inserts to align the rack, which I like for ease of install. I'm on 37's, so the extra strength would be nice.

Anyone have experience with them, i.e. quality? Do the inserts shift/rotate? I'd so, could a hole be drilled and set screw installed to avoid that? Also, it says for '10+, I've got an 07 regular cab. Any reason it wouldn't fit mine?

    Here's the product:

Surprised none of the existing threads came up when you searched:

Go with a rack from either @Basikbiker or Solo Motorsports

I have an 05 Tacoma with only 130k miles and I went through 2 OEM racks. I went with the Toyo Steering Tundra kit and I like it a lot. I think I have about 12-15k miles on it now and have no issues thus far. Only time will tell how long it will last. The only con about the Tundra rack is you do lose a bit of your turning radius so that takes a bit of getting used to. Doing a U-turn is as straight forward anymore haha.

I had a shop do the install, but he said it went on without a hitch and he would definitely recommend it to other customers.

My 07 with 546,000 original miles and it still has the original rack with new lines installed about a year ago. Pavement pounder, never been off-road. No lift and stock size rims and tires. Always kept up on PS fluid changes too.
