You very well might be able to, possibly even some of the same modifications if your hooks mount the same way. It looks like what they did was make accommodations for the hook’s mounting hardware by drilling a hole in the step’s bracket and trimming back a gusset to make room for the nut and washer holding the hook bolt on.

His photos show the recovery hooks mounted on the inside. The ARB hooks mount on the outside and can't be mounted on the inside.

A question about the bed step, does anyone who installed one also have installed reverse lights and is there any conflict between the two. Thanks.

I bought 2 u bracket and I started modifying the 1st one to see it I can mount the bed step with the ARB tow recovery points. I don't have the steps yet, but this modifications will push it out by the width of the bracket roughly 2 inches. I will give you updates when the step arrives.IMG20250130123251.jpg

The Rough Country kit is the route I decided on.
Ordered it about 3 and a half weeks ago, just received it yesterday. :(
Fedex dropped the ball. Kept telling me "expected delivery: tomorrow" when the package was still showing to be in the USA.
Shout out to Rough Country though!
I called their number; it was promptly answered by a knowledgeable employee. Gave him the tracking number and before I even finished my sentence he said "we'll have another set on the way today"
Amazing. Had it in Canada in four working days. Great customer service!

Update: Step arrived today. I quickly realized there isn't enough space for bracket I modified and step. Decided to just install the step and remove the right ARB recovery hooks.IMG20250205180540.jpg IMG20250205180544.jpg IMG20250205180554.jpg IMG20250205180559.jpg

I ordered a step from Amazon for about $150. It's seems pretty legit, haven't noticed any glaring issues so far.

I have a Trailhunter and would like to figure out a way to keep my ARB hooks and add the step if possible.
Has anyone solved this riddle yet?

@Wahhabm, are the ARB recovery hooks side specific? If not, I’ll buy your extra to use on the left side of my truck - I don’t want to give up my step either!

I am not sure if they are side specific or not? I can look later on today.

Doesn't seem they will fit unless someone adds washers to act as spacers.

I've got something similar that fits nicely behind the passenger rear seat next to the bulkhead.

Yeah, a cost effective and portable solution and I get to keep both my recovery hooks. :bananadance:

Not willing to sacrifice the passenger side tow hook either.

Folding stools solve that problem. They’re not without problems; they’re not great on uneven terrain and you can forget them places. But, they’re cheap like the budgie!

I just received my folding heavy duty step ladder. Just the right height and is very sturdy rated at 330 lbs. Next week I have a project to install my molly panels and then the ladder will get strapped to a side mollie where it will always be with the Taco and will be under my trifolding Tonneau cover. It is about the same weight as the bed step would have been, and I can move it anywhere around the truck where I might need it to reach inside. Better solution than losing my passenger side rear recovery hook which looks horrible too.

I just came across this one on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPPMN92...dfa-926b-4af6-b090-0b2527cc45b0&pd_rd_plhdr=t There's only one review. I didn't place an order.

It shows a price of $125.99 with a 5% coupon taking it down to $119.99. I also showed an additional 10% off coupon taking it down to $107.99. It's a better deal than what they have on eBay at this time.
