    Hello!

    I just bought a 1997 Tacoma:
    - 3.4 L V6
    - 4WD
    - Manual Trans
    - regular cab / 2 door
    - Sunroof =)

New to the forums, but I've been lurking a bit... Glad to meet you all. Looking forward to the sage advice!

Oh, wait! I guess it is an "extracab." It has those pop out back windows and the flip-down mini seats in the back... :D

    Hi Gren!
Superb looking SR5! The very last year of the true SR5

How many miles on your rig?

I was peeking at it and does not appear to have the rear slider window?
?? Replacement rear window or is that a Toyota factory solid window I rarely see other than on a single cab

Let's get some more pics of that beauty on here!!

    Thanks! :)

We're at just over 230k miles right now. It just had the LBJs replaced, and valve cover gasket. rear brakes... fluids... it doesn't feel tired at all.

Yep, it is a solid back window... I don't see any maker's marks on it, so I bet it is a replacement. I will check again in the daylight.

I will add pics soon - after I Take it in for >ghasp!< LINEX tomorrow! I know it isn't era-appropriate, but I will be using this truck and moving to the PAC NW very soon. So there will be a lot of rain is in its future...

Nice! Doing the same, minus the stencil. It is at the Linex place right now... Why does it take all day?

...between the inspections, the work, CA smog test, Linex, and waiting at the DMV for registrations, I have been waiting for this truck more than I have been driving it! :)

Dammit OP, this is about to make me spend 10+ grand I don't have on a 1st gen truck. That exact truck was my dream car from like 99-pretty much now. Super freaking clean too.
