Still not getting it, I was a dealer tech you need to dig a little deeper do you own research, its NOT the Toyota, BMW... etc engine engineers who spec the filter pass-through, lifetime-filled transmission nonsense, its sadly the same with many engineers etc research it out for yourself. They actually engineer amazing very high-quality engines and transmissions to run 500,000 or more YET the bottom line peeps who choose income over vehicles determine they're too long-lasting and make them no money.
~Do what you what it's your truck save the 10 bucks and prove the bean counters right, you're the ideal person they count on to blindly trust them due to their name.

Uhh hello…this thread is literally the research that shows why Toyota filters are one of the top tier filters for these engines.

Will a person notice immediate engine damage or crazy abnormal wear right away as they drive? no not saying that, Toyota's OEM are not terrible, they are constant ive installed them for decades, I was trained by Toyota in LosAngeles in the 90’s. Does that mean I blindly promote them, because I used them in my past? No I know things, i recommend what's the best filter money can buy because its the best 10 bucks per 5k anyone can spend on their engine long term. A couple hundred bucks more, over the life of vehicle ownership is the best money anyone will spend.

Not recommending a brand, except due your own research on filtration then you'll be educated to make the best or maybe saving 10 bucks is the best for you only you can decide.

If you need me to agree and affirm you toyota is your best consider it done:thumbsup:
