N2 designs h key remote start app help.

I just installed a N2 design remote start for my manual transmission tacoma. The remote start using the key fob works great. However I can't get the app module to work. It shows the trucks location, battery voltage, and outside temp. It also showed that the door was open once. When I try to lock, unlock or remote start the truck from the app it says hardware timeout when I check the activity log. All the programing seemed to work and all the lights flashed as the instructions said they sould. I have tried to contact them but they are still behind and have not responded. So I figured I would check here and see if anyone had the same issues.

 

Did you set the vehicle protocol to "Fortin" in the app?

 

I did.

 

You need to repeat the programming steps to link the cell module to the remote starter.
The location, voltage, temp, all come from the

$182 ASCL6 Remote Start Cellular Interface Module Allows You to Start Your car from Your Phone 1 Year Included

ASCL6 cell unit independently.

I believe you should have the EVO ONE with the H-Key, so you would have had to complete the learning process in Step 6.
Otherwise, may need to wait until they get back to you.

Thank you. I’ll try that this weekend. And by repeat you mean unplug the app module. Plug it back in and use the valet button to start the programing.

Did you get the cell module working?

 

I was recently having the same problem as OP. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it following the directions received with the package, while ensuring connectors were seating properly. When I tried to get the “directed” module to program to the truck, it would not. And every time I tried to remote start, it would flash red three or four times and do nothing. I’ve submitted a warranty claim, but will have to wait for N2 to respond.

 

I did. Thanks for the help. Disconnect it and completed all the stages to reprogram it and it now works great.
