Not sure if you will be able to camp at Cloud Lake like your map says, during the summer months it is an Air Cadet camp owned by the federal gov't and they use that lake a lot all summer, where you put your pin is either right on their camp or very near it... I don't think camping on Cloud lake is a viable option during the summer. Even if you can find a place to camp you will be dealing with large amounts of air cadets all around you near that lake.

As for driving the #10 highway, the road is in great shape and a decent drive but there's not a ton to see on that road really, I drive it at least once a week.

You could also consider the St John, NB - Digby, NS ferry...

It's too early and I am on vacation, hope you enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the input! Just removed Cloud Lake from the map so we don't even think to head that way. The local info is super helpful.

For the ferry, we decided on Pictou - PEI per suggestion of a previous commenter. Planning to do this on the latter half of the trip so we can drive from PEI to NB then back to NYC.

I've def been better, over the last 6 weeks I've gotten a chest cold which morphed into a head cold then that went away but the chest cold stuck around for a total of 3 weeks. At the beginning of the 3rd week of the chest cold I got a stomach bug of some sort which meant 24 hrs of nothing staying down... finally kicked the chest cold, then about 5 days later got another stomach bug that lasted 24 hrs again... got over that and then yesterday got another damn head cold! :( I just want to feel normal damnit! Other then that haven't been up to much, have been so busy with the union I haven't been out in the woods a lot this summer :( Trying to pay off my line of credit and get my last bit of gear for the truck (skids and a rack with an RTT) and then I'll have er mostly done. At some point I want to put a dual lithium battery setup in her with a fridge/freezer as well.

Managed to smash my passenger side fender when I was sick... sigh, now the passenger door is touching the fender so I try not to open it too often until I can get it fixed.

Planning to go do something in the woods this weekend with a buddy but it'll probably rain again like it seems to every damn weekend this year! :(

Hope everyone else is doing good! Or at least better then I am lately!

I'm running out of places to go check out down this end of the province, planning a Parsboro trip to explore that area sometime in the near-ish future.

What's everyone else been up to?

    Chad

I haven't had a cold since last fall knock on wood. I use to get them a lot. Started doing the whole cold shower daily, grounding, and overall sticking to stricter dieting. I've always been good just really not cheating much. Also been drinking hydrogen water like crazy all year. Feel great so far. Sports 4-5 times a week and loving it. Should try some different stuff to kick it. It could do wonders.

Hey guys! Just checking in, missing my old truck(s). Garage is built now, wedding next fall, and hopefully, fingers crossed, new (to me) vehicle by then. Glad to see everyone still around!

I couldn't be happier! It's not huge by any means, but it's clean, it's bright, it's my only place at home I can go and do 'guy stuff'! I do need a heat pump working on it, but I have a great little heater out there and it's insulated, I'm happy with how it turned out. I miss seeing you guys on the trails! I think the last time I was actually out was when we went on a rainy day rescue mission, eh Chad? ;)
On a side note, the TRD Pro 4Runner for sale in Halifax right now, Mrs. and I looked at it, we were VERY close to puling the trigger until we seen the bottom side, for a 6 year old truck, I'd say it has never seen undercoating, was told it's a BC vehicle, but for the amount of rust I was seeing in the photos, no amount of "I've been in the car industry for 13 years, photos look worse than what it really is" is going to convince me that it wasn't neglected and now they're trying to unload it. *Sigh* I have been informed after a fall wedding next year we can fly to AB and bring one home, so, fingers crossed!

I'm finally back on the road in the Taco. Its been a bit of a roller coaster with delays and issues, This was only possible with a lot of help from @TacoMitch93 and @Canoehead, so thank you!
The final thing that needed to be done was to replace the cracked timing cover that was leaking oil.

look how clean the new cover is!

Now to get back to some maintenance and modifications.

Glad to see you're back! I haven't been here much lately but I am still around :)

My list of mods to be installed just keeps getting bigger, waiting to order some skid plates this year and then will get everything installed.

How's everyone been doing? Anyone interested in some sort of meet up to go on an adventure this year?

    I'm Interested!

I've got a front skid that's been sitting in the shed just **iching** to be mounted! Need to change out the front diff and trans fluid before I bolt it on.

Right now I'm looking at a pile of parts that need to go on.
    - Higher output alternator
    - Skid install
    - onboard air
    - Ham Radio Install

I also want to make a mid skid, Front Fender bars that go from sliders to front bumper like the Auzzies run and a rear tube/plate hybrid bumper.
Its good to be back online :)
