My step brother who lives in Baja just serviced his Tacoma and has some interesting new noises. Any help would be awesome.

“Hi I tried to do a little service and cleaning on my motor and now I'm having cylinder problems
I changed wires, spark plugs, sensors and detonation harness, packaging, injector service and now everything vibrates, can anyone help me, not changed coils.”

    Tacoma 2002 3.4

Edit: I can’t upload the video which would be helpful. lol. I’m waiting on him to send me another shorter one.

Given zero information, has he tried swapping out the truck with a different one?

I still have clue on how to format a video to work on this site. Here’s a link to the video on FB though.

Uh, he touched and changed a shitload of stuff, and everything at that FB link is in Spanish.

So it is hard to be more helpful that saying he should double check everything he changed.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I told him. He’s gone over everything and can’t figure out where he messed up. I sent the link mostly for the video. Maybe there’s something an expert would pick up by listening to it.

I appreciate the response. Thank you!

You mention he did some“cleaning on his motor”. Did he happen to spray the engine bay with a water hose or pressure washer? If so, I’d be taking a hard look at electrical connections

He didn’t use any water. I’d put $$ on it being electrical related though.

    Thank you! I appreciate it.

If it’s not water it could be a vacuum line that is cracked or not reconnected also

Ah, come on, a 23 year old vacuum line wouldn’t do that.

Did he clean the throttle body without removing it? I heard the tps can get damaged. It just happened to me.

Also check the plug wires, maybe they are routed wrong. it's probably something simple

Thank you, I’ll need to search out how to do this.

It sounds like he had the motor apart to replace the knock sensor harness, if so, the lower intake was taken off and it sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Mi espanol is mal, muy mal... lo siento.
