I had my windshield replaced due to a large crack. I also had to replace the keypad on the windshield that comes with southeast Toyotas. I removed the battery cables so no airbags would go off. Replaced the keypad on the glass. Reassembled and connected the battery. I went to roll my windows down and the passenger front window will not operate using the drivers door switch.

I checked all door fuses which were good. I then tried the passenger door window switch and it works!

Thus the issue seems to be in the drivers door switch. It operates the other three windows but will not operate the passenger side. All door / window fuses are good. Open to suggestions.

UPDATE: called Toyota dealer. They said since I disconnected the battery I might have to reset the window switch. Held switch down for five seconds, then held up for five seconds. Problem solved!!

I like to sleep in my truck.
That is called "reinitializing" the windows operation. You sometimes have to do it to sunroof, power seats and door open/close settings. Good job trying to figure it out though.

I’ve almost bought one of these keyless entry kits so many times, but installing it on a consumable part just seems asinine to me.
I believe I read here there’s enough wire to mount the keypad on the back window. That’s what I’d like to do since I don’t plan to ever have to replace that one.
    :fingerscrossed:
