Harmonic balancer.

 

Dorman or oem. I have a Dorman, haven't put it on yet though.

 

I'm in the same boat. I saw that the Dayco brand is on nationwide backorder. I don't think I want any of those other options.

I'm going to wait for a while hoping the Dayco to come back in stock. Unfortunately it is made in China so tariffs may be a factor.

edit: NVM, I see you have the 3RZ. What I wrote is more applicable to a 5VZ

 

ATP and Pioneer are basically the same. They have the same parent company.
No need in spending more on Pioneer.

Other than that, toss a coin.
Generally, when stuck with a decision like this , I go with the mid-priced product.
I figure the cheapest, is cheap for a reason. And the more expensive one is just “mark up”.

Hard parts are ok. But I don't like their electronic parts.

How was install? I’m shopping for HB for my 3rz and narrowing it down to a few.

 

Install was fine. So far so good. About 100 miles on it.

 

I did the doorman one 5 yrs ago.....works fine

I had my local O'reily's bring one in from their dist center....
that way I could inspect it before I paid for it

stuff like this you want to examine ......you might accidently get a returned one


they do have the life time guarantee ......so if something goes amiss you have an out
at least for a few years


if ordered from one of the dot coms.......you probably only have a 30day window

Its best option unless engine is out
hard to impossible to get an air tool in there

there's 2 of these.....one for 5vz (3.4) and the one for all the others 2rz/3rz
ones for 2rz/3rz use the bolts.....
the 5vz one has the pins built into the tool instead

 

put in 4 low, first gear, e brake on and stepping on the brakes hard and hit it with a 1/2” breaker bar as hard as I could. It’s tight!

 

That wont work with an auto.
