Waiting for parts, exciting! I sprayed my steelies black. I was curious about your tires before the lift, but had the bigger tires. Did they rub on anything?

They did not, though to be fair I did not go wheeling until after I had the lift.

At stock height I would imagine they will rub at full lock while reversing if you didn't remove the little front fender flap, but even then it's not catastrophic.

It's been a long time, but more work done:

HD Shackles (greasable) from ATO are on order.

I've got to move the shackle flip mount and shackle more rearward. Shop install was not correct.

Put on some goodies this past weekend, after two years of racing motorcycles and putting the taco on hold.

    20180410_120126.jpg

Pelfreybilt Front Plate Bumper, SR20 Spot/Flood Combo, Dually Flood fog lights, Bussman RTMR fusepanel with 80A circuit breaker, OTRATTW switches for the added lights. Pelfreybilt IFS skid, missing two M8 bolts so I'll wait for those before I mount up the Mid skid as well. Added M6 rivet nuts to the bumper for the front license plate right under the winch provision.

I'm out of cutoff wheels at the moment so I'll need to wait until I can pick up more so I can install the High Clearance rear bumper. Stay tuned.

    More work done.

    Forgive the overexposed photo.

Solo install of my Pelfreybilt High Clearance rear bumper with swingout gate (using a hoist and two jack stands). SR-Q supplemental reverse lights (tapped a relay trigger to power the lights when the reverse lights are on). Did a rough cut on the bedsides, which came out as good as I need them to be, unfortunately I cut the driver's side flare a hair high. Them's the breaks, I guess. Also, it's not in the photo but I relocated the camera to the rear face of the swingout gate with a 3/8"(9.5mm) hole and an M6 rivet nut. I need to find some plate steel and cope/weld to the handle assembly so I can lock the swingout gate. I just have to get over the fact I need to grind/wirewheel away some of the awesome powdercoat to get to bare metal to do so.

Moved the stock shackles rearward in the ATO Shackle mount and my squeaks/rough ride are gone. Thankfully the AP Expo springs don't droop a crazy amount, otherwise my 10.5" travel shocks would be in a world of hurt.

Now if I can figure out when to put the spare tire onto my 5th Konig, I'll be all matchy matchy again.

Extended diff breather, and performed the modified yellow wire mod for TRAC OFF in L4.

snipped 9-PC, pigtailed ignition-switched 12v to the wire that was just snipped.

    Well it's been a minute.

Went full on RTT (OVS Bushveld 4-person iKamper clone) on Wheel Every Weekend security mounts.

Then, and I'm not exactly sure when this happened, but with about 35k miles on my Duratrac tires they were looking extremely thrashed with one of them finally giving up the ghost, dying via sidewall gash on Mojave Road. I was able to make it to a gas station after airing back up to 32psi. Thankfully my buddy was driving behind me and we both still had our gmrs radios on.

Years ago (2018) I had decided that when these tires were done I would move up in size, as most of what I've done so far was to prep for 35s.

Out of paranoia, I assessed that my wheels, with their 4.5" backspacing, were on the verge of being too close to the UCAs if I were to put some fat tires on. So I went with Falcon Offroad TX1 Apollo's in 17x9, ET -38mm which was supposedly 3.77" backspacing.

I mounted Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT's in 35x12.50r17. No spacers.

I'm guessing since you're here reading this that you know what this means.

I cut about 3" from the fenders and 2.5" from the fender flares. Naturally I tossed out the wheel liners as well.

...but pheerles, what about the liner?

Glad you asked. With no liner, your OEM intake will suck in all kinds of crap from the passenger side wheel well and you could have a bad day.

...but pheerles, don't they make snorkels? Yes, insert_Safari/Dobinsons/Whatever_Brand_You_Like_Here and call it done. However, if your response is instead:

...but pheerles, snorkels look like whale dick, then you and I are already friends.

I had peeped the threads a long time ago here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hidden-snorkel-mod.699682/
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hidden-snorkel-in-4-cyl.485390/

Bunch of questions were asked and not all of them were answered so I'll do my best to clearly list out what I needed to get:

14.0"-14.5" section (ends cut square) of Schedule 40, 3" PVC. You can make it work anywhere from 13.75"-14.5". You choose if you want to solvent weld it with PVC Cement. I was prepared to but didn't end up having to do that.
Two (2) Schedule 40, 3" PVC 90 degree long radius street elbows. I got the brand Charlotte Pipe at Ace Hardware for about $9 each.
Two (2) ~4" dia. worm gear hose clamps. Originally I purchased T-bolt hose clamps but kept receiving improper sizes and got fed up with Chinesium shit from Amazon.
One (1) 3.5" ID rubber grommet

    Lenox 3 5/8" hole saw

If you need to cut PVC, be careful. I had one shatter in my hands while using a miter saw to cut them. Thankfully I had my safety squints engaged.
