Best 3" lift kit for a 2017 4wd Taco

I have a 2017 Taco XSP-X and I want to put a 3 inch suspension lift kit on it. Which would be the best lift kit for this truck. It is a crew cab and this is the 1st time I am putting a lift kit on a truck. I have zero experience in modifying one. Any help is appreciated. I'm also looking for a black front XSP-X skid plate for sale. Any information is appreciated.

Might want to tell us whether your truck is 2WD or 4x4... Recommendations for lifts can vary a lot depending on whether you have a front driveline under there or not.

Hey guys. Sorry for not including that my truck is 4WD. I thought that I had. My truck would be a pavement princess. My budget would be around $1,500-2K. I love the look estheticly. My truck is also the XSP-X version from the South East dealerships. I know that I want a suspension lift for a better quality of ride.

 

FYI, these trucks don't do well with anything over 2"+. Unless you throw alot of money and mods to suspension. Driveline angles to severe.There is alot of threads on this subject.

 

3" lift and better ride quality cannot be in the same sentence.
I suggest skipping the lift, do a higher offset wheel around 0 and one up size tire. There's alot of head ache that can come from a lift that it is not worth it for a street truck.

 

Best bang for your dollar will probably be the Bilstein 5100 with factory front coils or the Eibach Stage 1 offering. Research these offerings and see what you think.

 

2" Bilstein 5100 w/Stock coils, would be your best 3" lift....

 

get an eibach stage 2R suspension kit. I just put it on my truck over the weekened and it drives great and looks great. if you want to save some money get blocks in the rear and should be right around 1,000$ shipped.

 

"Best" will be different for every person. When you say you want better ride quality, what does that mean to you?

 

Since it's a pavement queen a Bilstein 5100 2" lift with stock coils and lift block in the rear is well within your budget.
You could go a little bigger with the tires but there you have to be careful - wheel offset is critical and typically entails a little cutting and fender trimming.

Another route might be just a mild 1" lift with 5100s all around and 265/75R16 or 265/70R17 depending on your wheels. It will have a bit of a lift with meatier tires especially 265/75R16 to get you a more aggressive look. If you do get new wheels keep the offset reasonable -10 to +10 0 being the sweet spot. Do that and you will get a better ride and an aggressive look and no rubbing issues - then get an OTT tune and you will love the way your truck drives.

The Eibach stage 1 kit will get you about 2 inch of lift and ride great. Throw a 1 inch block in the rear and you'll be set. Get some 285 tires and gain a little more lift

 

Not exactly - there is one unusual 285/65R16 tire (made by Toyo or some other brand not sure which and too lazy to look it up) that is basically a a 32" tire that is not all that is the same size from 265/75R16 which has a lot of choices and is also a 32" tire size just a bit wider - maybe get a wider look - I get that, but still could be - I emphasize COULD BE issues.
Once you get into 285s that are typically 33s there, again, can be rubbing issues - some minor some not depending on wheel offset etc. I would say be careful going over 32" - you can do it obviously but do due diligence.
