A friend of mine gave me a pair of Alpine 6x9 speakers that I'd like to install in the front doors of my '03 Tacoma PreRunner. I have searched all night and can't find a definitive answer on what brackets to order. Most all say they fit Toyota but then it states '05 thru '14, etc.
Looked at Taco Tunes site, but they don't carry anything for the first gen!!
    Appreciate your help guys.

This is out of my 01 Tacoma, speaker opening is 5.5”x7.75”, as you can see, i removed most of the backside to allow for 6x9 speakers. I’ve been able to locate ones that take a round speaker, the oval ones are difficult to find.

Why some are round, while others are oval, factory stereo option?

    I don't think you're getting a 6x9 in there without some surgery
