Really in need of help… I was driving my 2002 Toyota Tacoma with the 3rz-fe and all of a sudden it died. Check engine light went out, lost spark and fuel and just cranks. I’ve done some digging and found a lot of people saying ECU seems to be the problem… took mine out and checked it all over and nothing burnt, discolored, or any smell or visual issues. This is my only vehicle and I’m struggling to find help on where to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated

So I found that the EFI fuse had blown (looked fine when I checked the first time) replaced and blew. Used a jump wire to short the fuse out and have a clicking on the back side of the motor, was curious if anyone else has had similar issues and what it was. Any and all info is appreciated

You are using a jumper wire in place of fuse that instantly and constantly blows?

If you key that wire in there, you’ll have more than a clicking.

Had an ignition switch go bad......it would just stop going down the road

in my case it would blow am2 fuse.......might be worth checking

it would be fine on cold starts.....then throw after it heated up
    progressively got worse

these switch/springs are so weak....its worth replacing at 150K intervals

@TnShooter yes I’m aware of the consequences of the shorted fuse, I’m unsure if there is a harness short or bad component but also not sure what the click is. Sounds like it’s on back of block by the fuel rail on cab side. Just trying to locate it, used my power probe to see if I had any issues but somehow the wires inside my melted to the mother board at some point so I had to try something. I have a parking lot to plow and needed a quick fix to at least get me to work. Seems to not get hot when driving or idealing so possibly a corrector curried. I’ve seen weirder things as an auto tech
