I added a Radar detector and dash cam. Used a Blendmount and a mirror tap. Mirror tap is easy - push in and down on cover and it pops off - also remove small center piece - blue wire is 12V switched and brown is ground.

I am a big believer in over-engineering. I'd add another of your ingenious clasps in the middle of the rail as well especially if adding load to the top. I like the ideas of the rubber/foam just to eliminate air movement under the rail.

Installed the Toyota/Bakflip tri-fold bed cover. Install was smooth, took about an hour. Had to open up one of the drain holes in the bed a bit and then drill a new one to match the cutout in the rubber bed mat.

Got the truck back from tint, de-badge and PPF. It's not much, but it's what I did today!

I posted about it in the Celestial Silver Metallic thread. Not sure if it's best to re-post the images and copy here or just add link. I'll add the link for now. Let me know if it's better to copy/paste the entire post over here next time. Thanks!

Did the 1st oil change at the 2500 mi. mark. Installed Fumoto valve to make future oil changes a snap. Used flexible funnel to catch drips/drain from the oil filter. That thing's the nuts. Threaded oil funnel for adding oil sped things up and kept things neat. No runs, drips, or errors

Installed MCX skid plate this afternoon and am super happy w/ it. If anyone wants to see add'l pics, I have them but @GrrrMaker has it pretty well covered in the post above  (My primary reason for going with this one was excellent accessibility to both drain plug and oil filter)

    Ohhhhhhhh Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

It's a nice plate. Not sure the steel folks would go for the aluminum but it's more than beefy enough for me here at the beginning of my off road journeys. And the price was right for me at just under $400 including shipping.

Can't beat the oil change access panels. On and off like a dream, just got to be careful not to over tighten and strip the threads in the plates when tightening the panels. Did that to one of the oil drain access panels today. Not too worried. MC offers a full replacement hardware set for $25 and I sprung for that, along with an extra security bit for $10. Well worth it as I know that eventually Murphy's Law will apply to the bit that came with the plate!

Next oil change, connect the plastic tubing to the end of the Fumoto valve and drain it directly into collector…….wont spill a drop

Indeed, that is the plan. I'll particularly enjoy it as it's been a while since I did an oil change myself and coupled with this being a new vehicle and having the skid plate to deal with (limited vision and room to maneuver while removing the oil plug) I made quite a mess of missing the waste container. Never again!

Dash cam install. After an accident in front of my house the cam saved the innocent person, decided I need one...

The proved cables are a little stiff so routing doesn't look the best o_O

The Dongar Pro allows you to use the power within your upper mirror assembly?
Was it hard to figure out the connections or is it obvious?

Yup, taps power right from the mirror wiring. Connectors are all plug/play so it was easy to figure out which one hooked up with mine.

Not who you asked, but I did a 103sx. Honestly any of the available options will fit nicely. There’s tons of room under there.

Added to my wishlist on Amazon!
Despite all the surrounding dash cams, some cheaper, the Garmin Mini 3 definitely seems like a favorite with owners.

All together it was $250 for cam, Dongar, and SD card. Still cheaper than possibly being at fault for something when you're not.

Some insurance companies give discounts if you have them. You have to ask.
