I have OVS expedition truck cap and I have to replace the camper shell clamps due to seizing. Any recommendations on what you use or what works well on the rails?

Is it common for guys to add clamps? I’m getting a 100r soon but don’t plan on RTT

My topper shifted pretty significantly even from light off roading. The clamps have kept everything in place for a couple of years now

You have the original four and added four more?

I bought the four pack but have only installed 2, one on either side between the original clamps

I have the same topper and added 4 clamps to the existing 4 built in clamps. I give them a quick torque check before hitting a rough road. Better to spend 50 bucks to avoid damage.

Agreed, I found my bed bolts broke loose after a multiday trip.I’m planning on running 4 clamps per side just to be safe after loading the cap.

There is an accessory rail you can add to the back of the bed too. I was looking into it but it would get in the way of my sleeping set up.
