24 Tacoma ruptured brake line?

Although it's a matter of opinion - imagine being on the road (off or freeway) and the brake line snaps, for whatever reason, and a collision occurs (heaven forbid). Toyota will disclaim all since they weren't aware or were not notified of the issue...

 

It was repaired under warranty. All warranty claims are documented to Toyota. That's how Toyota knows what's failing and in this case, "He also told me rep from corporate flew up to look at the brake line & that he was told this has happened to several 24 tacomas."

 

I'm attempting to address failure of a poorly design rear brake system. Yes, Toyota will repair it under warranty, but if an accident should occur, it would behoove us to be prepared.

 

I love that the knee jerk reaction to EVERYTHING at the dealer is to deny a warranty claim before getting all the facts.

Interesting. When I posted the thread yesterday, the guy on page one had just gotten the announcement of stop-sale and bulletin. Looks like it further developed.
