    Hello everyone on this forum,i have a 2003 tacoma 4x4 xcab 2.7 4 cyl. and my mechanic told me by opening the radiator cap and finding some oil traces on it,that my oil cooler on my truck needs replacement soon,my question is if my truck has a oil cooler? if it does where is it located on my truck? i looked on ebay and it only shows one like a radiator type,i need some help please.i replace the motor block and the head new when my truck had 220,000 miles now it has 330,000. thanks i will be waitting for any advice.

    3rz to 2Rz bebuilt block and new heads
    Only the 6 cyl uses oil cooler......and then only some of them at that


    I would replace the pcv valve for shits and giggles

    could be lot of reasons for that oil........
    I would just watch it........

    if you're not losing coolant or oil I wouldn't worry about

    check your oil often.....make sure its clear


    if you start seeing oil film build up in the overflow reservoir
    take pics and ask again

    always change coolant before it goes acidic which happens after 4 or 5 yrs
    especially on the Japanese engines w/metal gaskets

    IF you have an automatic tranny and use the radiator to cool it instead of an external cooler.......thats a disaster waiting to happen....IMO

    i will take your advice and look over those tings and thanks a lot for letting me know about that only 6cyl trucks have it,god bless.
