I'm doing well thank you, waiting for mowing season to start up.

That is Solar Octane, newer than my Inferno (the best color BTW ).

My truck sits in the garage all winter, no salt applied.

Negative I'm closer to the ocean. Bout 20 min drive from the shore about an hour 1hr45 from philly. I'm about half hr south from Staten Island.

 

Yes that inferno color is awesome. Glad to hear your doing well and keeping the salt off the truck. I on the other hand can't even run my truck through a car wash cuz i have a glass rack bolted to the bed. And they said absolutely not. I mean they yelled at me last time cuz there was alittle bit of dirt in the bed. I said yea that why I came here. Those drive through car washes just scratch the shot out of the paint anyways.

 

Previously I never took anything through an automatic wash because I was afraid something might fall off.

I took the truck through once and was surprised how "violent" it was, I just wash it at home now.

 

Yea I would like to wash all the salt off but too cold. The car washes are for people that don't care about the paint. I'm surprised how Mercedes bmw all the high end cars that go through them. Sorry but if I'm driving a 80k plus car it's getting hand detailed.

I took it through the Car Wash about 3 weeks ago when we had our first heavy snow in Dover.

I must have not been centered inside the wash because my driver side mirror ended up folding outward and I quickly rolled window down to pull it in.

Never again!

Ok so I am not loosing my mind. I wanted to slap this dude in the worst way at 0700.

I went to Safelight through my insurance company (my deductible wasn't met, so they sent me there). Now, granted, the first time I shattered my windshield, Safelight was the one who came out and replaced it without any issue regarding my lights. He even made it so the wiring was tucked in better and more protected. I didn't expect any issue with going to them again.

Thankfully, the crack while across the entire windshield is low, my inspection isn't until December so I have time to figure out how to replace it.

 

So your going through insurance again. ?
All in id do the windshield for like 265. If anyone in your area charges more than that they smoking crack.

 

Granted doing windshield in general in the winter sucks ass. Glass cleaner freezes on the glass while trying to clean it. Moldings don't flex the urethane cures to fast which could cuz issues further down the line. Both me and my brother really don't try to do any glass jobs in the winter. I'm doing a back glass on a transit this weekend. But that's a breeze no moldings. Will take me 10mins to do.
