    Happy Wednesday!

I purchased a 2019 Tacoma TRD V6 a week ago and noticed my RPM at a red light while on drive is at 5 The truck vibrates/ shakes enough for me to notice. But when I switch to neutral the RPM goes to 6 the truck sounds a lot better. Other then that the Tacoma drives great.

Just curious if this is common. look forward to your comments. Attached is a photo of my RMP in gear at a red light.

Do you mean 600 in neutral ?
Numbers are normal. There are other stuff happening on background to cause some irregularities

Yes sorry I meant 600. Made the post quickly before dinner. Didn’t get a chance to preview it.

You are good. It is normal. Won't break it.

Toyota lowered the RPM to meet emission standards at least that’s what the Dealership Tech told me when mine picked up a rough idle at 7,500 miles. Between 500 and 600 the Tech said is normal. He recommended I switch to top tier premium fuel so I did 93 octane to be exact now it’s smooth as glass at over 20k. Some are going to say premium fuel doesn’t matter but I’m speaking from my own experience it would be worth a try for you.

I read other posts that said the same. I’m trying premium tomorrow. Thanks for your comment!

Any specific gas station you always use? I’m guessing not all premiums are the same

It may take a couple of full tanks before you notice a difference.

I use Chevron with Techron 93 my truck loves it. Also get 22 MPG around town 24 on highway.

Before you start pumping money to "fix" something, get a cheap obd2 app and monitor what the engine and tranny computers do.

Premium fuel is just an option a couple tanks of premium fuel is not going to break the bank you can try it see what happens. You are not going to hurt the engine running a top tier premium fuel.
