I'm looking for inspiration. Anyone running skinnies, either 255/75/17 or 255/80/17 on TRD SEMA wheels? I'm currently running 265/70/17 KO2 C-load tires on these wheels and I'm curious how the ride quality is with a 255/80/17 E-load and whether it's very noticeable. I know in the larger size 275 and 285 widths the E-load is very noticeable compared to C-load and XL. Please post pictures of your truck with the skinnies if you have them. Thanks!

There are a ton of threads on this forum. Some are quite extensive. Google 255/80r17 with trd sema wheels, etc.

I have 255/80 Toyo AT3s (e load) and while I don't hate them, they are pretty heavy for anything daily driven. I drive around in 4th (auto transmission) most of time. On the freeway at 65 mph in 5th/OD engine rpms are around 1,800 which isn't the greatest. Really should be up over 2k rpm when cruising..

I don't offroad much, mostly just snowy highways and forest service roads.

Hands down, they perform the best in the snow of any tire I've had. Both compact snow and deeper stuff. You can air down into the low 20s or high teens no problem and they crawl like excavator tracks.

In my opinion at 33s you really should be re-gearing to keep the drivetrain happy. But honestly I'll probably go back down to 32s before I do that.

I'll probably go with 255/75/17 KO3s when they get released later in the fall. I think these will be perfect on my matte black SEMA wheels.
