Hello from Massachusetts, really like my Tacoma! I have a towing question v6. I looked through the owners manual for towing information. I want to pull a U-Haul trailer 5x9 1250 lbs plus the cargo about 900lbs for total 2150 lbs. do I town in D or 4 going to be highway driving for 160 miles. Thanks

I generally don't recommend towing in overdrive on light trucks but you would probably be fine being it's not a huge load. If you wana be safe though drop it into 4, you will incur a fuel mileage penalty but it's easier on the transmission.

A 2,200 lbs trailer with a flat face is going to in the range of 4th gear.
You can maybe get by with OD on flats. But hot any grade and it’s going to lock/unlock the converter.
And more than likely drop to 4th.
